but smile!  i had to be quick though. . . not to catch his smile because it was fleeting but because he was so fast!  :)  i'm sure his parents don't have to do much exercising since he started walking.

i love baby feet and toothless grins, messy faces and baby drool.  babies are perfect *just the way they are*.  but once they get 3' and above, those things are cute anymore. lol  enjoy it while you can.   

i've always known that ashley was destined for great things. i've known her since she started kindergarten. :)  yep, sure enough, she is attending georgia tech and will be figuring out a way to save the world soon enough.

first birthday photos are always special, so many things are changing!!  teeth are coming in, they start to walk, start to talk, drink less milk and eat more cheerios.  :) halle was no exception. she was beaming of pure baby sweetness

you can never have too many bubbles or be too clean after a hard day of playing. ahhhh the life of a 15 month old.  there is nothing sweeter than a baby bum covered in mr. bubbles; his is no exception. :)  i love to watch him discover new things. its easy to get frustrated with the results of his *exploration* as it usually means i have something to clean up or something to fix or something to throw away. lol  these little moments won't last forever and that makes me sad, at times. such is life. i just want to remember it all. 

aiden is *always* so ecstatic to have his photos taken.  he is *almost* literally bouncing off the walls when i arrive.  he spends his time with me telling me about how his mom is a princess *most of the time* {lol} and all about thomas the train and once he even asked me if i could send some of the photos to his moms phone so she could see how good he did.

it feels like i have watched him grow up. oh.  i have. :) 

as soon as i picked up my camera to start shooting, she looked down at my sparkly flip flops and sweetly but matter-of-factly said *i liiiiiiike your shoes*.  haha  a girl after my own heart.  a love for all things girly and glittery.  her mommy has taught her right. :) 

if they can be, he's the winner. brody. such a soulful child.  i have photographed him since he was an itty bitty and hope i'll be there with my camera at his wedding.  i love how his mommy appreciates the preciousness of the moment.  when they are little, it flies by so fast. that is one of the reasons i picked up my camera. i wanted to remember it all. . .

don't you love newborns? they have this *fresh outta tha oven* smell and skin like butter. it seems like i just had a newborn myself except he is over a year old with 18 teeth and a slight attitude problem.:)  i remember his colic like it was yesterday which prevents my ovaries from yearning for an itty bitty like this sweetie pie. :)

she is baby #7. you wouldn't know that by the way she is doted over, cared for, loved on and cuddled with. i'm not sure who will spoil her more. her parents or her siblings. these photos were taken on day #3 and she couldn't have been more perfect!

welcome to the world, miss jaurdyn! 

she is 6 1/2. not 6. not 7. but six and A HALF. :)  that half makes a *big* difference. a few days after these photos were taken, she cut her hair for locks of love. some kid, somewhere, is not worried about people looking at her because she is losing her hair or lost it all. what an awesome awesome gift she gave at 6 and a half. :)

i love photographing children. they aren't worried about a hair being out of place or a kool-aid moustache. they don't worry about straightening their back or sucking in their tummy. in other words, they are free to be themselves, whoever they are at that very moment. oh how i wish that feeling never went away. . .

no really. she does. she got the *best* birthday present ever!  an afternoon with. . .
